Reviews and Ratings
The hotel in Katoomba was perfect for us, offering pretty spacious and generally clean rooms. However, the newly redone bathroom still featured the razor of the previous guest and was infested with cockroaches; pest control measures are needed. The service, despite being provided by itinerant backpackers without hospitality training, was friendly and helpful. The location was great for the route we were travelling, even given the remote location in Jabiru, in the shape of a crocodile to billabong. The dining was nothing special but okay, and homemade marmalade was a nice touch.
I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel despite a few shortcomings. The rooms, although not spectacular, offered a decent size and a lovely balcony overlooking a peaceful green space – perfect for a relaxing morning cuppa. The service was impeccable, from a seamless check-in to helpful travel recommendations; The location, though remote, was pleasant but required a bit of driving to reach the heart of Kakadu. The dining experience, while basic, was overpriced, but the resort had some nice facilities to enjoy.
My stay at the resort had its ups and downs. The location was beautiful with great walks around the billabong, and the staff made me feel like I was truly immersed in nature. However, the rooms were subpar with issues like dim lighting and low water pressure. Dining was hit or miss, but the facilities were decent overall.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were comfortable and allowed for some fresh air, but the shower setup was a bit dodgy with a plastic curtain. The service was nice and helpful, but there was a concerning incident with uncooked chicken impacting our trip. The location, while creating a relaxed atmosphere, was quite far from the main attractions. The dining experience was enjoyable, but there was a tactic to prevent guests from taking seconds from the buffet. Overall, the Aurora Kakadu offered good value for money.
I absolutely loved my stay at Aurora Kakadu. The hotel is beautifully nestled in a top location, offering a great experience overall. The rooms were a bit worn and in need of maintenance, but the cleanliness and modern feel made up for it. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff who were informative and welcoming. The location was superb, giving easy access to natural attractions and sights. The dining was satisfactory, with great value for money and a pleasant experience, though some improvements could be made. The facilities were good, offering everything needed for a comfortable stay.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, perfect for my family of 5, even though they needed some general maintenance. The service was provided by very friendly and welcoming staff, even though they seemed inexperienced. The location was convenient for visiting certain attractions but required a lot of travel for others. The dining options were just okay, and a bit pricey for what they offered. The facilities were sufficient for a pleasant stay.
The hotel is a decent choice with clean and sufficient rooms, but the service was lacking. The location is convenient for exploring Kakadu, but dining options were a bit limited. The facilities are basic and adequate for a short stay.
The hotel's rooms are quite dated and had a musty smell. Although they were a bit run down and in need of maintenance, I enjoyed having a late afternoon cocktail outside despite only having 2 chairs near the air conditioning unit. The service was top-notch, with the staff always being nice and helpful. The location, although beautiful and quiet, was quite far from major attractions, making it a bit inconvenient. The dining options were limited, but the quality was worth the expensive price. The facilities were decent overall.
The hotel offers a comfortable stay amidst tropical grounds with friendly staff but lacking in dining options. The location is idyllic for nature lovers, but not ideal for exploring nearby attractions. Rooms are dated but cozy with poor lighting, while the dining experience could be more versatile. The facilities are well-kept and provide a relaxing atmosphere.
My stay at the resort had its ups and downs. The rooms were spacious but had a stale smell, possibly needing an air con filter change. The grounds and pool were relaxing, providing a good standard of accommodation. The service tried to compensate for the dull facilities, and the staff in the restaurant/bar and kitchen were welcoming and helpful whenever needed.
